Before you start
The CVEC (Student and Campus Life Contribution) is paid by students in France every academic year. For 2026-27 the amount is 105 euros, shown on the official platform. EPITA’s deadline is 15 October 2026.
If you do not pay, EPITA does not treat you as a student and your enrolment stays on hold. EPITA also warns that without the CVEC you cannot start an internship or graduate.
You need an account on the official site. There are two ways to log in:
- A messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr account. This needs a personal email you check often, a phone number (a non-French number is accepted) and proof of identity.
- FranceConnect, if you already have an account with impots.gouv.fr, ameli.fr, La Poste identity, MSA, France Identité or trustme.
Steps
- Go to cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr and log in.
- Type your family name and first name exactly as in your passport. Read every screen before you submit.
- Pay online by card. If you cannot pay online, the platform offers cash payment at an approved point of sale.
- Download your CVEC certificate. It carries a certificate number of 12 characters.
- Log in to the Student Portal. Open “Administrative Documents”, then “CVEC details”.
- Enter your CVEC number. Do not enter the order number or the ticket number.
- Start date: the date you paid. End date: you can enter 31/05/2027. Attach the certificate file and save.
- EPITA checks the document, then unlocks your school attestation. Fill in the details in the portal and download your school certificate.
Common problems
- Name differs from your passport. A mismatch can make the certificate invalid. Ask the CVEC platform’s help desk to correct your account.
- Wrong number entered. Use the certificate number, not the order number.
- School certificate is still locked. Wait a few hours or the next working days before you email anyone. If you already had a school certificate, you can still upload the CVEC and download a new one.
- Izly account. You can create it after the CVEC is paid. If the login email does not arrive, use the Izly help pages linked from the EPITA CVEC document.
Exemptions and refunds
Some students are exempt, for example holders of Crous, regional or French government scholarships and refugees. Exempt students get an exemption certificate without paying. Refund requests open each year on 15 September on the CVEC site. Ask the platform if you think you should not have paid.
Costs
105 euros for 2026-27, once per academic year.
Common questions
What name do I use when I pay the CVEC?
Use your family name and first name exactly as they are written in your passport. The official CVEC site warns that a name mismatch between the certificate and your school record can make the certificate invalid. If your account name is wrong, ask the CVEC platform’s help desk to correct it.
Which number do I enter in the Student Portal: CVEC number or order number?
Enter the CVEC certificate number from the certificate you download after payment. Do not enter the order number or the ticket number. EPITA’s instructions are explicit about this. The date of payment goes in the start date field, and you can enter 31/05/2027 as the end date.
